I have just made a squidoo lens for my Printfection store...
the url is http://www.squidoo.com/twigadesign
It was pretty easy to do...but I did run into one problem...I wanted to show images of my designs on printfection products...however...when I tried to grab them off of my printfection page they wouldn't open...got a message saying soe kind of embedded something or other was preventing it. Does anyone know how to get around this? I have substituted my raw designs for the time being...but I think the actual product images would be much more effective. Whaddya think gang?

well..its not a link...its just a way to grab the procuct image....you would have to type the link beside it in the squidoo module...I use a new 'write' module for each product.

anyhow...here's the way I got the images onto my desk top.

go to 'my stores' on left side
click on 'view all stores/sections'
click on 'edit products/sections'
find the product you want the image of
click 'modify product design'
slide (drag) the image to your desk top.

I have put them in my squidoo lens..they look pretty good...I think I am going to change the links beside each product from the storefront to the section for each featured design.
my squidoo lens is here: http://www.squidoo.com/twigadesign

let me know if this helps you, and if you know a way to make the product image clickable...please let ME know.....:)

Your squidoo lens is very neat :).i wish if printfection was also associated with squidoo like cafepress is.then it would've been much easier for users to to pick the right product for them.but alas,i guess we'll have to wait :).for now, leaving the shop link under the product, just like you did, seems to be he best thing to do :).

I've been over snooping around Squidoo and I'm confused. It appears to be just another blog service but with a catchy name. Is there something I'm missing?

Well...I kept hearing about how important it is to have a Squidoo lens....so I made a couple...but truthfully I have not seen any traffic from them...my (lazy) philosophy is that of a spider.... the bigger I make my 'web' the more chance of someone wandering in.... I just don't have time to promote the way I know I should.... and yes, it does seem like a blog format.... never thought of that until you put it into words.... I think you have to really promote(like anything else) to make it effective

Squidoo is a little different then other blog sites.i offers modules which you can use for different purposes.i too havent really seen any traffic come from squidoo but lets just hope for the best.after all its also a way of free store promotion ;).

Squidoo's deal is 'everyone is an expert at something' they combine this with an easy to use affilaite portal tools and profit sharing.

I get lots of traffic from squidoo - but not from a 'this is my shop come buy my stuff' type lens (although I have had a little traffic from that).

The idea behind squidoo is to create lenses based on a subject matter. I created lenses around subjects that were relevant to the type of designs I feature in my stores.

e.g.
http://www.squidoo.com/aliceinwonderland

In this instance I reasearched and linked to a variety information available online regarding my subject 'alice in wonderland' I integrated my Curiouser shops into the main link list and used a Write module to create an advertisement for my shop further down the page.

This is a really simple example - but let's say that your shop's focus is on kids & parenthood. Create a lens and write an article about, let's say '10 things I wished I knew before becoming a Mom/Dad'. Give the reader some content and a reason to visit the page - also be sure to link to your shop either through a links list or a seperate write module.

Well this isn't so bad. It's a blog, albeit a fancy one! :D

I've got a start on a Personal Lens and that will take some time to fill it out like I want it. Then maybe I could do some other lenses on other topics that interest me.

Thank you for all the help! :)
