Well okay so there's only one right now since I just created it.....

Anyhoo everyone else has a topsites, so, I got frustrated with working on my site tonight and got sidetracked with creating a topsites page that only allows PrintFection sites. I haven't seen one with just PF sites, if there is one, oh well, here's another....lol.

So if you like add your site....

I played around with banner size and found 500x100 worked best...

I can host your banner if you need me to.....

I'm trying to keep it from looking too much like a ranking site, but some functions are hard to delete out. But I hope each new addition pops up in the featured sight display.... but I won't be able to tell yet, since I'm the only one on there...(hint hint)

I was trying to create categories, so a search could be done that way, let me know what other categories to put up... ok gotta find something else to do...:p

Hmmm, what exactly is it doing?

I think I may know what the problem is, I created the directory 'pfshops' but I think it keeps trying to use the default directory when I first installed it. The default directory 'aardvarktopsites'.

I changed the directory back to default, see if that works. You can still get to it from the link above.

***I just tried to enter a new site and it worked for me, at the end of the form there is a captcha picture where you have to enter what the picture has on it, then below that it asks you to rearrange the word 'FectionPrint' (PrintFection). Were you able to get through both of those?

I told you I was dumb - I put in the figures/letters from the captcha pic, but never thought of rearranging "FectionPrint" .... Way too old for this game :D I go try again!

OK - got it. I suppose you can only feature one shop ?!

I was wondering about that myself... I guess on one email you can add one shop. I only have one shop here right now so I didn't look further into that.

What I can do though is, I have 4 hosting packages that come with 100 emails each.... I will never use 400 email addresses...lol. I can go into one set you up an email address and have it forward to your regular email address. I think the email addresses are only for adding a site anyway.

But I can set you up an email, have that email forwarded to your email, and you can use the new email address to register another shop or I can go register it with the new email and temporary password and you can go in and change your password and upload your banner.

But as long as it's a printfection.com address then it doesn't bother many how many people want to add.

Thanks for another marketing avenue. However, before I sign up I need to know if there is someplace I can get info on how to make a banner. I have no clue how to do that. I would appreciate any info you can point me to.

I know there's places you can create one online but I think they are mostly for text banners. If you have a graphics program you should be able to make one.

I took a screenshot of your store and created this one for you, you can use this one until you find a way to make the kind you want....:)

I just tried registering with the same email I used to add my site and just added a "2" on the end of the username and it let it go through.

My store is really new and I'm currently working on creating more designs....I thought it would be a good idea to sign up to your list straight away even though my shop still needs lots of work!

Thanks for adding your link. Your store looks great by the way. I'm still trying to figure out a way to get mine out of the 'basic mode'. I changed your link to the printfection.com store link mainly because I wanted the links to focus on going to the stores there. I know several people have their own domain name but this will prevent competitors from adding their domain name which links to a competitor site. This is mainly to bring people in to PF, then they can click on links from the individual store to get to a home page if they like.;)

*(we had an awful end of year, spent from the day before my birthday until almost the end of January with no connection, but we're getting better weekly :o)

That´s cool - I have dozens of e-mail adresses ready to be used with my domain, but I don´t want to create too many, I tend to forget who´s had which ... I try it when I get home from work.

Just a reminder, when you submit your site make sure to use your PrintFection store link instead of your personal domain link.

For your url enter "http://www.printfection.com/your store"

I change personal domains to the url to your store and I may pull the wrong link like I did on the Lollipop Tshirts :o

It makes it easier this way. When I do maintenance and double check on the links, I'll know if a competitor snuck in and is trying to direct traffic elsewhere. When I see www.printfection.com down the list of links it will be easy to spot a link out of place.;)

I just tried to change the link on my banner and it wouldn't save it for me either. For some reason, it is only letting me do it in the admin control area. If you want to change the banner, send me the link and I'll change it for you in the admin area.

I'll go to the aardvarktopsites forums and see if I can find out why there's a problem with users changing banners.

Here's another option until I can figure out why it is doing that, save your new banner with the same name as the one you have uploaded, then upload it to the same place overwriting the old banner. See if that will work.

I've got some tech questions I've been asking the people at aardvarktopsites so let me get back to you on this.

I think the problems I'm having are that I installed the topsite link page under one directory, then I found my server offered it and uninstalled it then let my server install it again. I think it's trying to bounce back between two directories and not getting good feeds. The only numbers I've seen are when I go into my link from the page trying to see if any of the fixes are working.

I'm trying to get it running the way it should without having to completely uninstall it and reinstall again. I'm sorry for the inconvenience. The good thing is that all links to everyone's store takes them there so I'm happy for that. I just have a few kinks to work out.

Also since topsites is set up to be a ranking system, I don't know if you have to add the button on your page or not for it to show up as traffic from there on the page. My purpose wasn't to use it as that but to use it as a linking system to PF shops. Most of these topranksites require the button on your page to stay in. I just require the link to be the PF store link. But I'll get it figured out. :o

Hi Summer. You should be able to initially add your banner. The only problem I know of is members being able to change it once it is uploaded. Did you upload one that was 500 width x 100 height? or was it vice versa?

I can put one on there for you until I get it all straightened out.

I did put it up initially, but it never showed up- I got a generic banner. It was 500w x 100h not vice vera( sorry in my post I wrote it wrong).

Getting back to the thread, where is everyone putting the code for CJ's "PF Shops You Gotta Check Out"? I have looked at some of the listed sites, but see no visible images or links back to CJ's pages. Is the code just embedded invisibly somewhere on each storeholder's store? If so, where are you guys pasting it on your sites?

I put a link button at the bottom of my store page (printfection.com/oorahgraphics) and one at the end of the left menu on my main domain (oorahgraphics.net)... (I'm integrating my site so no reviews on them....lol... not yet.)

No solid answers but they gave me an option to try. I would have to uninstall it then reinstall it. But they showed me how to back up the member database so I don't lose anyone. So we'll see if that works.

Hi guys, I've been out of pocket for about a week or 2, but I just wanted to reiterate... when adding your site add it this way:

NOT

http://www.*yourdomain*.com

This is meant to be another traffic route to PrintFection. If you have your home page (personal domain) address on your PF site, they will find your main portal there.

Sorry for the delay. Normally the approval is the same day as registered but I've been without internet for the past week trying to change it out and update FIOS and we've been away for the past few weeks. All the ones that were waiting to be added should be on there now. I did have one that entered their main domain again and I changed it to the PFStore URL. Remember to submit with your printfection.com/*shopname* URL. If I can find it on your main portal site, then I'll change it for you before I approve it.

I am trying to change my info and it's not letting me. I have changed my site from Off Of The Wall Tees to Triple F Tees (with a new link and banner) and the edits don't seem to take effect.

Suggestions? Can I delete my account and re-add it?

Hi Joe, I've still been trying to figure out how to let someone edit their information for quite a while now. I changed your information to Triple F Tees, but I added the printfection.com link.

I don't mind changing the information for someone, I'm kind of glad that the edit feature still isn't working because so many are still putting the wrong URL or trying to add their store from a competitor site. But I'm still trying to find a work around.

I've tried editing my info and adding my banner, but it won't change. Have you worked it out yet? I am in the abstract section and want to change to nature and it won't except my banner. Here is the banner
