My poker news site TAPLpoker (http://taplpoker.com)is currently recieving around 500 hits a day since I changed the format to an all poker news site and an average of 20 RSS subscribers. On the site is a Button or Plug Board that anyone can place a banner for free. I selected an unusual size, because feedburner allows you to add an animator to your feed that changes with your feed, and its 180x100 pixels.
If you dont use feedburner, grab zoner gif animator demo (good for 30 days), and make one.
Feel free to add your site plug to my plug board. (http://taplpoker.com/?page_id=180)
Honestly, if you pick up a sale or two, I'm thrilled, You will probably have helped drive 10x that many people to my site, a win win for us all.

thanks for reading
Dave

Hi Dave,
I would have loved to have taken you up on your offer. Alas - your site tells me my button is broke

if your button isnt 180x100 it says its broken, right click on it and look at properties to verify the size.
nice models!, ever get one that looks good until its rendered and find out the hair went thru the shoulder instead of over it (or other things like that) and when its fixed you cant recapture the original look?
I'm also looking at a way to use more than one size.

Mmmmh .... I made it especially to fit your site. I´ll have to check on the size again when I get home.

Thank you - and yes! I´m learning to fix that though. Also I´ve found to pay a couple of $$$ more for hair with a lot of morphs pays off. I´ve only got into 3D less than a year ago, and the next thing I´m taking on is to make my own tees so they look real.

Need a rss feed for your printfection site?

try out feedyes.com (http://feedyes.com/) you can get a feed in minutes, it only contains the section or item names from the front page of your store.
leave it like it is, and run it thru feedburner.com to dress it up a little, or load the address into ie and view source and save it. Rename to ****.xml and use notepad to edit it and add in pictures and bigger descriptions. save it on any website that you can retrieve it later from, for use on other sites. check out other sites with ie for rss feeds, if they have one, the orange rss button lights up, look at the source for formatting samples when you decide to edit yours.
there are rss editors available, but it still ends up being a copy and paste chore, just like notepad.
Copy the item details, paste for new item, change title, pic, description, link, etc.. and redo for each item. Just pay attention to opening and closing tags:
they generally repeat for each item and
they are generally like this <Title> my item title</Title>
the very end closes all tags that are open at top of the feed.
hope this helps until printfection gets the api up and/or some rss friendly tags into the site.

The documentation says it accepts jpg, png, and gif
but I have only tried .gif, I will check it out
if you would reply again and insert your banner here, (use insert image icon)
I will check it out and see what I can find.

button posted (http://taplpoker.com/?page_id=180) , sorry, I just find out now that one of my plugins, image manager, with all the new upgrades to wordpress interferes with many plugins, and have since deactivated it. Normally I dont cache the buttons on my site, but in this case it was a tesst I couldnt pass up after deactivating image manager. enjoy and hope it brings at least one sale, and hopefully many more..

And yes - I´ve installed her on Friday, and already have played around with her :D Got to wait till tonight to start rendering - that one will take about a day to finish, and I hate not being able to use the PC while I´m here. So I usually start rendering nights and then it can work in peace while I´m at work.

Excellent move. And I highly recommend it to others.

Some people have it locked into their head that their theme is "shirts". Even if they actually have another theme going on. Their idea of expansion is to add another shirt store. When told the benefits of blogs and forums they add a vanilla one then just wait for it to benefit their shirt store.

Again excellent move IMHO

after signing up at art zone, wait about 24 hrs, then sign in to your DAZ account, it should be in the downloads folder. Some see the files show up sooner.

thanks for the complements all, check out the wordpress.com site if you want to host a blog on your own with no domain name, the sites arre free.
hosting blogs and linking them to other blogs and stores get you ratings up fast, also rss feeds help a lot. so you see i do have ulterior motives, helps my rating when your store is linked, helps your store and blog with the link.

I think it was a good move too! I have CP store also, and this week, my printfection store passed the cp store in hits, pageviews, and individuals. Cant help but assume my poker site did that with the advertisng I do there for the shirt stores. Now if the sales per visit would climb, I'd really be happy.

seems 9 banners have been put up, and that button board had 91 hits with 56 unique views today, my poker girls page had 108 hits with 92 unique views today, and the front page had 119 times with 96 unique views today.
oorahgraphics, tshirtlitter, teesbeyond each got 1 click today.
Dont know if ya all got a sale, hope ya did, but I wanted everyone putting a banner up here to see what type of results I've been able to get this month.
Last month from Jan5 to Feb 5 the site had 494 views and 370 unique views, from feb5 to mar5 this went to 1192 views with 894 unique views, plus 27 daily rss subscribers.
So, yes it was a good move with my blog site, and no my sales havent picked up yet, but I was running 103 clicks to the store for each sale, just under 1%, which from what I have read isn't really that bad a percentage. So now I'm wondering where my 8 sales are???? which ones on the button board got em??
