Just been looking at the Facebook ads options. It looks like it could be a good system for targetting ads, especially as my designs are aimed at specfic audiences.

At around 70cents a click it's not particularly cheap, though less of an issue if I get a good click to sale rate!

Has anyone tried using them and if so, seen any reasonable success?

Cheers

I tried facebook in Nov & Dec and it generated no sales. Plenty of clickers, but no buyers. However, my "designs" are based for a broad audience and have tons of better competition.

I have had better luck using Google adwords and also by uploading my items to Google base so they show up when somebody does a specific search on Google prouducts.

I tried facebook adds. I some clicks and inquiries but no sales. It' didn't work as well I was hoping but I plan on putting a few more adds out there again just to see what happens.

hmmm...

If they were clicking then I guess the ad is doing it's job, you're then relying on your (and Printfection's) shop & the quality of your designs to sell product.

I might have to give it a try, for the sake of $50 over a few weeks it's not going to break the bank!

Thanks for the input

I can't get Facebooks ads to work for some reason. It always says "you're ad cannot have direct reference to Facebook" and doesn't let me go any further. Trouble is, my ads DON'T even mention Facebook so must be something with the system. I am told ads in such social networking arenas have the lowest ROI's but are extremely good exposure. So if looking just to get the word out at a low cost, its a great place to do it. Down the road, that can turn into sales as you get to know more people in the networks.
