If you can figure out how to do it could you turn on the post date/time stamp for the forum? Some of the early posts in current threads are obviously very old based on the comments in them, but the only thing that displays is the date of the last post.

I looked through the vBulletin documents but couldn't find where that is turned off/on in the Admin Control Panel, but this is the only vB board I've seen that doesn't show a date/time stamp on each post.

I notice you are running 3.0.8 and the current version is 3.6.8 so it may be worthwhile for you to move to the newest version.

cheers,
Michael

Hmm ... I can see the date on the posts, in the blue bar above each post.

Unless you are talking about something entirely different. Fromyour second paragraph on, I was lost.

Something else that would be really nice. When a person receives notification of a private message, it would be nice to have the message contents included in the email. That helps sort out what needs to be responded to immediately and what can wait a bit. Pretty please? :D

OK, I now see the problem. On my screen the blue bar is a very dark blue and the date is in black, so it isn't visible to me unless I know it is there and look really hard for it.

I'll squint more in the future. But seriously, I couldn't see it there until it was pointed out that it was really there, there's that little contrast between the blue and the black.

Cut me some slack - everything needs more bright light these days! :)

It looks the same on my screen - buth then again, I´m old and wear glasses, so I noticed it:D

And SassyB., I would like that feature with the PM´s, too.

All the text on all sites was easier to read on my old monitor. Ever since I got this new fangled, flat screen beauty.... I squint a lot more too.

What's weird is, if I drag my screen, like scroll down.. while its scrolling and moving, the text appears "blacker" the way it used to on my old monitor, but as soon as it's still, it becomes hard to read again. It's almost like the text is finer now, like a hairs width. I know it's because it's a higher resolution monitor... and so many things look better on it.. but with all the reading I do on these forums, and in the shops... it's really hard for me.

I'm definitely starting to feel my age.

Until such time as I can get the date and header bar to have contrasting colors I've found that a left click-drag of the cursor over the date highlights it to be easily readable.

Michael
