How long do you give it before you decide to tweak your descriptions. And after tweaking things how long do you wait before you're sure your tweaks were to no avail!

I'm always thinking that if I'd left things alone a while longer I would have seen more results. Maybe I don't wait long enough.

My pet hate are descriptions! I could probably do a lot better if I really worked on them - but there´s so much else to do and they´re such a bore!
I usually think of what search terms I would put in, and try to build a descriotion with that. Not so easy here, as the amount of words you can use is so limited ...

The real pain for me, is avoiding having the same description for every item that has the same design on it. Since I upload a design, and generally upload at least 8 products with it... they all share that initial description.

It's better to upload things in smaller clusters, this way you have at least 3 different descriptions going for the same design. One description for each of the groups. Then, I usually go in and give the tote bag it's own unique description, putting in some words that are unique to that product. It's really such a pain. and I don't do it as well as I preach... but when I find extra time, I try to go into stale sections and change some descriptions and item titles around a bit.

This way you cover more bases, instead of hoping that one set of titles or descriptions are good enough.

Thanks. They are a pain. I like PT's idea of having different ones for different items. I'll do that and see if it makes a difference.
