This Is Nuts

I'm not sure this is the right section to put this in, but I'm having a Statcounter problem. All of a sudden, I have three counters on my Nuts About Tees store. There was only one yesterday. This has never happened before. Does anybody know what might be causing the problem?

That used to happen to me all the time until I figured out what was happening. For some reason the PF editor doubles up on those counter scripts and sometimes it even happens to the CSS tags. At one point I had 5 or 6 counters on every page. The only way I've found to get around it is, when I go into the HTML editor, I make sure I delete everything there and then do a copy&paste from scratch with the fresh code. Hopefully the new changes in the editor later on this year will have fixed this.

Editing within the editor is very difficult. Copy & Paste your code to NotePad, or NoteTab, or something like that. Make your changes there and then copy & paste the new code into your PF editor. Do the whole page of code this way, not just snippets of code. Editing snippets of code causes duplicates. :)

I forgot to add ... Use Internet Explorer for your editing. FireFox and PF aren't very compatible right now for the actual HTML editing.

This place is flaky! I came in on IE and started to delete my Statcounter code, and all of a sudden, all of the html disappeared. It scared the dirt out of me. I clicked on the html tab and it all came back, but I'm through messing with this. I could wipe out my whole store this way.

I figured out a way to keep just one Statcounter ... I put my I Rate This code after it :)

Unfortunately, now every page in my statcounter is either the editor or a template ... the only useful data is the map :(

This is what happens when the editor's mysterious garbage code gets added to the end of your Statcounter code. If you go in there again, delete anything that isn't supposed to be there, and save, you should be able to get get real stats.

Just want to let you know that we will be doing a small update before the end of the month which will include a way to edit your store completely outside of the WYSIWYG editor. This way nothing will change your code which should fix a lot of issues. We'll still allow use of the editor but as a secondary way to edit your store and may remove it all together, eventually. This update will also add several highly customizable templates which should also help.

That will be wonderful, Kevin! That should make customizing our stores so much easier while we await the new store builder.

Another desperately needed "in the meantime" update would be the ability to import products from one section to another. That's the biggest issue holding me back from expanding my store right now. Having the ability to import products and bulk-replace the images at the same size/position would make things sooooooo much easier!

Any chance of getting that capability sometime soon? The thought of waiting many, many months for that feature is most depressing.
