View Full Version : Uploading problems tonight :(

I am trying to upload a group of new designs, and I did manage to get two uploaded, doing them one at a time. Now, I can't seem to be able to get even one image to upload. When I attempt it, the progress bar window comes up, and then disappears within seconds. Usually, I can do three at a time with no problems at all. Is something happening at PF that might cause this to occur? Just thought someone should know about this.
Best regards,
Mare

Had a small problem here uploading in a batch (3 files) with a message that popped up saying my session timed out or I had multiple printfection.com windows open.. gave me one box to upload a single image from there. lol so uploaded a single image and that single uploaded image appeared upside down. Not even April 1 yet. :D

 the upside down thing is a "me" problem - all of my images are upside down, that's how I make them and I suppose I forgot to flip them tonight for some reason. lol so that's not a printfection thing. Think I'm losing my mind here, too many long hours. :o

Danes, be careful about the April 1 thing... that's my Birthday! LMAO!!! I'm serious! :D
Upsidedown is good as cake, but I haven't tried it with images yet! LOL ;)

Danes, I have to ask. You create your images upside down? Or store them that way? I'm asking, wondering if I'm missing out on something good I should be doing. :)

Apparently you're not missing one darn thing except embarrassing yourself for announcing the "upside down image bug" along with the multiple image upload bug... :D
Actually, I do make them upside right but store them upside down. Most of my images are already made in the form of greeting cards, which I print. It might sound strange but it works better for me to lay it all out upside down and have it come out of the printer the right way. lol It's weird but it works for me. When I open a greeting card image file to make a printfection file it's upside down and I am so used to seeing things this way that I have become able to actually work upside down... thus the not realizing they were upside down until the appearance of one in my image basket upside down. However, you might try flipping yours upside down as well. You can sometimes see things that aren't quite right that you never notice when they are right side up! :p
And so this thread isn't hijacked - still having the problem with no bulk image uploads but singular is working fine.

I can hardly see my images when they're right side up! LOL
To keep on topic, I uploaded 1 thumbnail and 2 images tonight with no problem, except .... when I clicked the *upload* button, instead of taking me to the usual starting folder, it took me into my Windows\Fonts folder. I'm thinking that has to be my computer acting weird and not PF. I'm running AVG at the moment to check my systems.

Just now successfully uploaded a batch of 3 images with no problems - and they are upside right at that... might have been some stopped up pipes along the way earlier... all is well here for now.

I was able to upload some last night, but very few, and it was hit and miss. I have tried today, and it is still giving me the same trouble.
I am on a Mac running OS 10.4.8, (Using Firefox, and I even tried Safari, but no luck) and I have never had any trouble before with uploads to Printfection. I was able to upload 3 at a time, and usually it went well, with a few minor glitches here and there, but livable. Now, I have soooo much to upload, this is getting worrisome.
Does anyone know when PF checks this Forum for bug problems that have been posted? I am going from antsy to near panic, since I have work piling up, and holidays approaching, and I can't seem to get things uploaded in time to make a difference. Please help!

Mare,
Have you tried clearing out your cookies? We haven't made any changes which would affect image uploading in a while.

Mare, I've been uploading the occassional single image today with no problems. However my email is having great difficulties coming through. Have you called Cox to see if it's a problem on their end? Not that they like to admit it, but sometimes tech support will grudgingly admit there might be a little problem they're having.

Thanks so much Kevin!!! Clearing cookies seemed to do the trick! I just uploaded 6 images, 3 at a time, with no trouble at all... after I cleared my cookies. I don't know why I didn't think of that. DUH! Guess it was a brain fart, because I really should know better. LOL Silly me! :p
Sassy, our e-mail via cox.net has been coming through just fine, and I just checked it again, and all seems well there. I have been getting mail all day via cox with no obvious problems. I am sorry you aren't getting your e-mails as you should. :( I have always found Cox friendly and helpful when I have needed to call them. They are there 24/7, so maybe you will need to call them. I have had them do resets from their end on our cable modem, and that is often a culprit. Kell's e-mail is acting just fine , too. I hope your clears up soon!! :confused: {{{SassyBites}}}
Thanks again, Kevin!! You made my day!! :D
