I am using a Mac 1.25 GHz G4 with OSX version 10.4.8 and Firefox Ver. 10.5.7.

When I am going through the products in a section and applying their Order Numbers and pricing, Firefox tends to lock up, and I have to quit out of Firefox, and re-enter it to get it going again. This slows down an already time consuming process, and I am wondering if anyone else is encountering the same thing with the Mac version of Firefox? If it is just me, does anyone have any suggestions for correcting it?

Thanks so much,

Mare

I'm assuming firefox has a virus in their operating system.

Mac's (or firefox for that matter) don't really get viruses, viruses are usually associated with Windows. I suspect its something else entirely.

It could be a number of reasons, anyone else on a mac using firefox?

Me! It does the same thing — locks up almost constantly. I'm using FF v. 1.5.0.7 (the newest that I'm aware of) on MAC G4 OSX v. 10.4.8.

Ryann is correct about MACs and viruses... rarely happens. It doesn't seem the most stable browser I've ever used. :-\ Perhaps FireFox needs a good de-bugging bop on its pointy little head. LOL!

We've got a few Mac's in our office and will try to look into this-- I've brought this to Kevin's attention. Thanks for your patience.

Thanks, Casey. I know it might take a little time to get this problem to occur, but in an average evening session (several hours) of placing products, it usually does it at least once, and sometimes, multiple times. Depending on what you were doing when it locks up, you can lose unsaved information. Kell, who posted above, is my daughter, and we have our Macs side by side, and she and I have both been having this same problem with Firefox. UGH! You folks will probably be better able to explain the problem to the techs at Firefox than we might be, if that is what is needed. ;)

Thanks bunches for looking into the problem for us! :D We will be anxious to hear your reply, and see if it is happening on your Macs, as well. In the meantime, we won't fret about it, but just take it as it comes. :)

Thanks, guys!
